70 mph wind gust at Sandy Bay Yacht Club...

and the Gloucester Times is also reporting that an 87 mph wind gust was recorded at Gap Cove. Images of the damage on Thatcher Rd which caused the power outage can be found HERE.

National Geographic films episode about Motif No. 1

We are headed back up to Rockport for a weekend in the spring and then again for 11 days in August. I really like starting my work day (6:30 a.m.) with sandybayday and good morning gloucester. Makes it seem not so far away both physically and emotionally. Our kids love to hear about the yacht club and art association dances, bon fires (many centuries ago) and cooking on the beaches. Take Care and tell Chef Terence that a stuffed pepper serving is to be put on our tab.

Winters are hard in Rockport and Gloucester without tourists and this little family restaurant needs more local traffic. My family and I have been "summer" (God one of those) people for 51 years and going on our 4th generation. Feel free to tell me that you cannot do this.
