transplanted poet
Hello, All
I was born in (and lived for nigh 20 years) Worcester, but don't hold it against me.
I've lived in Rockport going on a year now (yeah, I'm practically a tourist). I felt so oddly proud the first time I got my resident parking sticker.
I am a poet and writer who was part of a great literary community hiding under the rocks in Wormtown. I would like to get some of that DIY spirit here and start an informal workshopping group for poets and other types of writers to provide a place to hone craft and find inspiration.
As much as I love and I am inspired by the natural beauty of the shore, I need contact with other writers to bring that spark to life. If you feel the same way, and would like to meet up somewhere in Rockport or Gloucester, drop me a line.
Oh, and the popcorn is for my boyfriend who has just started the Cape Ann Community Cinema, a new film-and-arts venue at the familiar Gloucester stage. You can read more about that at Goodmorninggloucester.com
Looking forward to meeting my neighbors,
Chris
